The self service checkout is great but it doesn't work half of the time and target will not dedicate a person to help the people checking out. The person who ends up helping is supposed to be doing returns and exchanges. So as long as that person isn't busy and you have a problem you are ok, but if there is someone in their line they cannot be 2 places at once.

BLATANT RACISM 💯 BLATANT RACISM! If I could write a review with 0 stars, I would. I went in this store this afternoon, looked around til I found someone to call assistance to electronics, and got a very nice lady to get a PS5 from the locked cabinet it was in. She kindly took it to guest services while I finished my shopping. When I got to register, a nice enough cashier got the system and rang us up. She gave me a receipt and a gift receipt. She then handed the system to my son, who is biracial/black. As soon as we stepped away from the register (nowhere near the door though, still in the register area) the security(?) guy, who had to have witnessed the purchase, asked my son for a receipt. So there we are, in the Amherst Target, with my son being called out in front of a bunch of customers... for no reason. I'm pretty sure my son just wanted to get out of there ASAP, so we did. I tried to call the store and speak to the manager but, of course, no answer. NOTE: for him to have stolen it, he would have had to break into the cabinet in the electronics department (the back of the store) and carry the system to guest services to leave it while I shopped. Was at the store this morning 11-13-2025 and I want the manager to know that the woman who was working in the toy dept. Is a REAL asset to your team! She is so friendly and helpful and really seems to like interacting with the customers answering their questions and helping them locate items! She even walked me into another dept to help me find something!This is not the first time she has helped me and I wanted you to know that she is appreciated!

Good store. Plenty of friendly employees . I seen them wiping and cleaning counters and floors while we were there. They were running short on paper products. But had plenty of food and produce. Good place to shop for your Christmas toys.
